ESC Candidates Declare Intentions

Last night, four parties and one individual candidate submitted their registration packets for the upcoming SEAS 2011 Class Council elections, with SEAS-themed ticket names ranging from the SEAS Theorem to the Fu Element.

“We’re focusing on the entire Columbia experience rather than just academics,” Kamal Yechoor, SEAS ’11 and president on the Fu Tang Clan, said. “We’d also like to see more SEAS merchandise in the bookstore. It’s really important for SEAS students because we’re much smaller than CC, so we need to be more tight-knit and show our pride.”

Campaigning starts today at noon, and there will be a candidate forum this Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Jed Satow Room in Lerner Hall. Online voting begins on Sept. 25.
