After unpacking dorms and starting classes, the only thing left to start the school year is the return of some favorite television shows.
Booth, Brennan, and Bobbies collide tonight as America’s snarkiest crime solving duo cross the pond to team up with their British counterparts. The two-hour Bones is packed with the usual twists and turns, numerous suspects (with accents!), and witty banter. It’s surprising how enjoyable the episode is considering its length—usually shows use a one-hour plot in a two-hour show. But, without revealing too much, let’s just say that this is definitely a two-hour plot. Even though London is featured prominently, the gang back at the Jeffersonian plays its part. Someone arrives to spice things up around the lab, which leads to quite a few misunderstandings, funny scenes, and lovably quirky moments. If you’ve never watched the show before, this is a great episode to get you hooked.
If you’re not a procedural fan, don’t fret—there’s plenty more to watch tonight. America’s Next Top Model also returns with a two-hour premiere. And if the promos that aired during Gossip Girl were any indication, it’s going to be awesome.
Project Runway has another new episode in a thoroughly mediocre season—though admittedly, the last few weeks have been better. Hopefully that will continue tonight. Runway is followed by the premiere of another creative competition show, Top Design.
And, if none of that’s appealing... well, there’s always the Republican National Convention. But wouldn’t you rather watch crime-fighting or catwalking?
Bones airs at 8 p.m. on FOX. America’s Next Top Model airs at 8 p.m. on the CW. Project Runway airs at 9 p.m. on Bravo, followed by Top Design at 10 p.m. The Republican National Convention begins at 8 p.m. on PBS and 10 p.m. on ABC, CBS, and NBC.
