First Impressions

The first week of school can be overwhelming for anyone. This Monday, Spectator Opinion asked some of our newest students to share their first thoughts and impressions. Neil FitzPatrick, a Columbia College first year, stumbles upon diversity at a Brazilian street fair, GS transfer student Katrin Nusshold finally makes it to Columbia only to find more difficulties waiting, and Barnard College first year Shira Borzak notices differences between her experience and that of other first years after her gap year in Israel.
