Watching television in college isn’t always easy. Maybe you didn’t pay for cable, maybe you don’t have a TV, or maybe you can’t wait a couple of hours for your show to go online. Well, Fox has finally recognized the dilemma and found a way to fix it.

The premieres of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, one of Fox’s breakout hits of last season, and Fringe, one of the most highly anticipated new shows of this season, will be available online exclusively for college students. And students won’t even have to wait until the next morning. The best part of these online presentations is that they’re being streamed simultaneously with the broadcast premieres. In addition to the episodes, pre- and post-shows with interviews, behind-the-scenes features, music videos, and more will be part of the online experience.

Monday night, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be available at www.fox.com/terminator/college at 8 p.m. The show, part of the universe of the successful movie franchise, begins its second season where it last left off. Sarah (Lena Headey) and John Connor (Thomas Dekker) deal with the consequences of Cameron’s (Summer Glau) jeep explosion and John’s destiny. Agent Ellison (Richard T. Jones) must confront the Feds, and the show gets some fresh blood with Shirley Manson joining the cast.

J.J. Abrams returns to television with the highly anticipated Fringe, premiering Tuesday at 8 p.m. at www.fox.com/fringe/college. The series follows FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) as she teams up with a maybe-crazy scientist, Walter Bishop (John Noble), and his son Peter (Joshua Jackson), to tackle deadly and disturbing mysteries.

With the great extras and exclusivity, Fox’s college internet experiment is sure to be a hit. And the best part of all may be that you don’t even need to leave Butler to watch.
