The 2009 Columbia baseball schedule was just released by the Athletic Department. Just as they did in 2008, the Lions will begin the season with a difficult 17-game road trip. On Feb. 27, Columbia will start this stretch against Lamar in Beaumont, Texas.
The trip will take the Lions through California and will hopefully prepare the squad for its home opener against local rival St. John’s at Robertson Field.
The Light Blue will begin its defense of its 2008 Ivy League title on Saturday, March 28 at home against Harvard. In all, Columbia will host 13 home contests this season, with the final doubleheader coming against Penn on April 25.
