Walking into John Jay Dining Hall around dinner time, one is bound to encounter a variety of accents and languages . Of the undergraduates enrolled in Columbia College and SEAS, 17 percent are either international students or were educated abroad. This Monday, Spectator Opinion hears from some of these students . Amin Ghadimi and Alex Doicescu extoll the virtue of diversity in making international students feel welcome at Columbia. Laura Torre looks at third culture kids and the struggle to find identity, and Vighnesh Subramanyan reflects on his admiration for America and notes the role a Columbia education could play in remedying the nation’s imperfections.
