Among the last three holdouts in Columbia’s negotiations with property owners in the Manhattanville campus expansion site, Anne Whitman finally struck a deal with the University in June 2008. Columbia then took control of the building that housed her company, Hudson Moving & Storage (left). In exchange for this property at 3229 Broadway, the University will build a new space for Whitman, located nearby the Medical Center. In the meantime, Hudson Moving & Storage has taken up temporary residence on Broadway between 131st and 132nd Streets (right), just up the street from its old home.
