Uncontested Party Action Potential was unsurprisingly elected to the Columbia College Student Council Executive Board Tuesday night, while the majority of Cliff Massey's Clear Party won out over class of 2010 presidential incumbent A.J. Pascua and The Party, Pascua's ticket.

Full results are listed below.

With the exception of CCSC President Elect Sue Yang, CC'10, who currently serves as class of 2010 Vice President, the Executive Board is an entirely fresh line up of council newcomers. Yang will be joined by elected Vice President of Policy Sarah Weiss, CC'10, Vice President of Campus Life Deysy Ordonez, CC’10, Vice President of Finance Nuriel Moghavem, CC’11, and Vice President of Communications Sana Khalid, CC’11.

Massey, who ran on for Vice President of Student Life on last year’s defeated Connect Columbia E-board ticket, will be working with Evelyn Phan, a Columbia Southeast Asian League leader, as Vice President; Asher Grodman, who has acted with CU players and King’s Crown Shakespeare Troupe, as Representative; The Party's Maximo Cubilette as Representative; and Lena Phan, Vice Chair of the Asian American Alliance, as a third Representative.

This is the first year that students voted for candidates by plurality instead of majority. While students have traditionally chosen between contenders and voted for their favorite runner, the new system allowed voters to rank the candidates. Candidates with overwhelming majorities are elected. Without a clear majority, the lowest-ranked candidates were eliminated from the race, and those votes redistributed to the other contenders.
