Columbia’s wrestling team is gearing up for a busy weekend.
The Lions will take to the mats at 12 p.m. tomorrow in Lancaster, Pa. against Franklin and Marshall, and then skip town and head on over to challenge Millersville at 3:30 p.m. The Light Blue then returns to the city on Sunday to take on Bucknell at home in the University gym.
The Lions will look to improve to a winning record, as they currently stand at 4-4-1, with one week until the start of Ivy League competition.
Franklin and Marshall (0-7-1) goes into the meet looking for its first win while the more successful Millersville (3-8-1) hopes to end a two-match losing streak. Bucknell, with a record of 8-6, should pose the biggest threat to Columbia’s aspirations this weekend.
It’s New York versus Pennsylvania as Lou Miller, Eren Civan, and Matt Dunn lead the Lions in their last nonconference weekend before Ancient Eight competition commences.
