In their final game at Levien, seniors Kevin Bulger, Patrick Foley, and Niko Scott could not get a victory, as Princeton defeated Columbia 67-52.
The Tigers jumped out to a 7-4 lead in the first three minutes, but then the Lions went on a 10-0 run to take a 14-7 lead. Princeton battled back though, tying the game at 16 with a dunk by Kareem Maddox.
The Tigers would never look back, taking a 28-20 lead at the half. Princeton went on a 14-4 run to start the second half, making a Light Blue comeback improbable. Though Columbia cut the lead to nine with just over three minutes left to play, that was the closest it would get.
Princeton’s Dan Mavraides finished with a game-high 22 points while Scott led the Lions with 12 points. Scott also had four steals.
Bulger finished with 11 points, an assist, a steal, and a block. Foley only played for three minutes, as he is still suffering from a shoulder injury that has sidelined him since Jan. 29.
Though this was the final home game for the Lions, these three seniors will take the court again next week when they travel to Yale and Brown.
