The final meal plan structure for next year has been finalized, Barnard Dean Dorothy Denburg and Chief Operating Officer Gregory Brown announced Monday.

After meeting with a self-selected student task force for several weeks, Denburg and Brown said that they had settled on a structure "shaped by the priority paramount to this discussion, namely, increasing choices for all members of our diverse community."

According to an email sent out to the Barnard student body, all incoming first-years will still be required to purchase an unlimited meal plan. Other students living in the Quad dorms will participate in a new plan that will be cheaper, and with fewer meals, than the plan in the past. All other full-time students will have a choice from three meal plan options at $300 per semester. All plans will have a kosher option.

The administrators also noted that the plans will provide points at a discount rate—315 points for products, she said, will cost $300.
