The women’s field hockey (2-2) team will go head to head against Brown (2-2) on Friday before traveling to Richmond (2-4) on Sunday. The Lions started the season strong with a pair of wins at Longwood and James Madison, before falling to Maryland and American.
After starting 2-1, the Bears are fresh off a 6-0 loss against Maine last Sunday. Meghan O’Donnell leads Brown with four goals and an assist this season. Hannah Rogers, who has made two goals this season, will also pose a threat to the Lions.
In their second game this weekend, the Light Blue will need to defend against Richmond’s Emma Johan sson, who has netted three goals so far. Goalkeeper Anna Zarkoski is another the key player for the Spiders, with 22 saves last weekend.
Both games will be held at the Columbia Field Hockey Venue. The game against Brown will open up Columbia’s Ivy League play at 5 p.m. tonight, and the Lions will face off against the Spiders at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
