Voices Of The Everyday People, a community-based advocacy organization, plans to file a lawsuit Monday challenging the Department of City Planning’s 125th Street rezoning proposal, the organization announced at a meeting Saturday afternoon.

The Department of City Planning is displacing residents, artists and businesses as it allows the real-estate industry to score big on 125th Street.

Before a raucous, frequently hostile crowd, the Department of City Planning presented its proposal to rezone 125th Street at a Community Board 10 public hearing Wednesday night.
