The Student Governing Board recognized six new groups and floated a new student forum initiative at a town hall meeting on Thursday evening, even as student groups represented by the board have faced funding cuts.
The process for student groups to reserve space is getting easier, Activities Board at Columbia leaders announced at the board’s annual town hall last week.
John Jay Dining Hall got a makeover this summer, with Dining Services installing an Asian cuisine bar and soda fountains, replacing the flooring in service areas, and removing walls to free up more space.
