Reverse graffiti is one of those rare modern spectacles that is both faultless and inspiring: dirty city surfaces cleaned to render temporary, color-negative images.
First things first: Some people—including those females on Columbia’s campus who proudly identify as feminists—loved it. A friend pointed out that the performance was for MTV, not the Teen Choice Awards: It was destined to be a bizarro spectacle, not charming inspiration.
