With only two weekends left in the season, the Lions’ Ivy title chances are slipping. The team needs consecutive weekend sweeps, and the prospect for the first championship since 1968 looks bleak.
Action two weekends ago had seemed to instill some order in the Ivy League standings. That sense is now gone, as three teams are suddenly jockeying for second place after a wild weekend of play.
In this season and in his freshman campaign two years ago, junior guard Patrick Foley has shown flashes of his ability to control the game.
Cameron Indoor Arena. Rupp Arena. Allen Fieldhouse. The Dean Dome. All of these are prestigious men’s basketball arenas, which give their home teams (Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, and North Carolina, respectively) a distinct advantage.
Coming off of a weekend sweep and winning five of its last six matches, the Columbia men’s basketball team will travel to Brown and Yale with the hope of continuing this success.

The Ivy League was in for a huge surprise this weekend, as Cornell (15-7, 5-1 Ivy) lost its first league matchup since 2007 and Princeton emerged as its new leader.
