Menswear hit a high note at the Buckler spring showing, where designer Andrew Buckler, formerly of Ungaro, merged upscale fashion with gritty street and topped it off with a little British schoolboy. Music selections straight from the James Bond soundtrack mixed with Yankee Doodle-type Americana played to the tune of shirts with sewn-on suspenders, vests with watch chains, high-waisted pants with three-button bands, and untied string belts that dangled precariously off pants. Despite the punk influences, Buckler also showed his preppy side with plaids, socks, and pointed shoes on nearly every model. Hipsters can rejoice in stand-out tuxedos in neon pink and green.
