After working with the likes of Zac Posen and Ralph Lauren, Lyn Devon continues to capture the hearts and eyes of the fashion world with her new collection. Devon brought out a variety of
garments harkening back to the graceful Gatsby era of 20’s and 30’s beachside luxury. Art Deco patterning and bold, colorful geometric shapes a la Mondrian were spread across fabrics, while the pieces themselves remained simple, and understatedly elegant. The color palette was equally calm and demure, though turquoise Swarovski Crystals on an Art Deco patterned gown packed quite a punch. Pants and shorts remained high waisted and impeccably tailored, while classic tanks, shirtdresses, and gowns were perfect for not only a luxurious stroll through the Long Island dunes, but also for any Yacht Club soiree. A few highlights included a Nivola Garden dress flanked by wing-like drapes of fabric and ankle-length dress pants and gowns paired with a rainbow of Keds. A near standing ovation may have just cemented Devon’s place as fashion’s newest darling.
