Reese’s spring collection was part Hamptons chic, part southern belle, and, as always, a whole of feminine. The runway, set against a backdrop of her signature chandelier, gave way to a delightful array of billowing blouses in fuchsia and lilacs, wide brimmed hats cleverly cinched in the back, and outfits that would make Grace Kelly envious. Though the music proclaimed that “simple things are all you need,” the ruffled tops and high-waisted, slimly tailored denim elaborately decorated with row upon row of silver buttons begged to differ. She even forayed into swimwear with a simple one piece and bikini with silk organza cover-ups, paired with, of course, a matching lilac Kentucky Derby-esque hat. Even though the pieces were modestly cut for maximum coverage, it highlighted waists. Make no mistake about it: this collection is all about sophistication.
