Local reverend commits to living on food-stamp sized budget for week

Rev. Sam Smith of St. Michael's Episcopal Church and his husband, Don Temples, are taking on the SNAP Challenge, a week-long commitment to live on only $5 of food per day, roughly the budget of someone on food stamps. Spectator went with Smith and Temples to the supermarket at the beginning of the week to see exactly what they could purchase on their food-stamp sized budget.
