Senior Lacrosse Player Makes History Against Wagner

PUBLISHED MARCH 7, 2008

Not only did the Columbia lacrosse team handily beat Wagner yesterday, 14-3, but one member of the team inserted herself into the record books. Senior midfielder and co-captain Marisa Marcellino, became Columbia lacrosse’s all-time leading scorer, notching her 128th point to take first place in this category. Adie Moll, CC ’04, had been the previous record-holder with 127 points. Marcellino’s historic tally came with 13:35 remaining in the second period and was an unassisted goal. The midfielder will have the chance to build upon her record at Cornell on Sunday.
