Softball Team Cancels Doubleheader Against Manhattan College

PUBLISHED APRIL 10, 2008

Due to a scheduling conflict with Manhattan College, the Columbia softball team’s doubleheader against Manhattan on Thursday, April 10 will be canceled.

Manhattan has been forced to play four days in a row after pushing back its weekend doubleheaders against Niagara and Canisius due to inclement weather. The Jaspers currently have games scheduled on Friday, April 11 against Fordham and Saturday, April 12 against St. Peter’s College. This schedule would have forced them to play seven days in a row without rest.

The Lions (12-20, 3-5 Ivy) should be back in action, weather permitting, this Saturday, April 12 against the Princeton Tigers (11-19, 8-0 Ivy) at 12 p.m.
