Here we are in 2008, and Nikita Khubushchev has started a Cuban missile crisis in Poland with the Russians and is teaching an advanced NYC skyscraper course in Voodoo Physics at every institution of higher learning in America, and not a single hippie at the United Nations is banging the desk with their shoe against Nikita for invading Iraq without a proper search warrant and proper United Nations authorization.
Where is Joni Mitchell when you need her the most?
As a former Fayerweather Hall "housesitter" c. April, 1968, I checked the website to see if you had remembered. Thank you for doing so.
I wanted to watch the video portion of your coverage, but it would not load. Can you advise?
During the "Revolution," I shot sound one stitch of which was used in many places, including the SDS's Newsreel Project documentary and as the lead into the student radios station's (forget the call letters) audio documentary. I wondered if you had picked it up.
That Spring was a glorious time, aside from the bitterness and acrimony. Ugly guys who were radicals were getting laid by women to whom so many such men had never had access and would not again until the princes of geekdom came along in the 90s.
Mark Rudd was arrested by his biker gang bodyguards, who turned out to be NYPD UC officers.
P. S. It turned out that the SDS Newsreel Project was a front for one or more of the law enforcement agencies doing business on the student movement of the 60s. It gave them the ability to collect copies of all film and sound shot by participant observers at various rallys, sit-ins and the Chicago convention.
The leftist SDS's elan vital was to "Stop the War in Nam" and "End Apartheid" but its legacy are the Killing Fields in Cambodia and today's raging genocide in Africa (black and white) - both fueled by several million communist AK-47's bullets.

"But perhaps the absence of dissenting alumni..."
And why is this?
