SEAS Dean Zvi Galil announced today that businessman Dr. Raymond P. Daddazio, SEAS '75, will be the keynote speaker addressing graduating students and their families at the SEAS Class Day on May 16.

"I think he will be a great speaker because of the real-world engineering experience he can put forth to the student body," said the Class of 2006 President Brendan Shanahan. "It's important to leave a lasting impression with the graduating class."

Daddazio is the president and chief executive officer of Weidlinger Associates, Inc., an internationally recognized global consulting engineering firm that provides services in buildings, bridges, facilities, infrastructure, and advanced technology for projects around the world.

Daddazio, who also works for the government as a principal investigator on the anti-terrorism Technical Support Working Group, "is a recognized expert in the field of structural response to extreme loadings, providing advanced analysis of blast effects on bridges, tunnels, terminals and other structures," Galil said.
