Barnard seniors can now mark their calendars with the date of their Commencement ceremony, which will take place at Radio City Music Hall for the second consecutive year.
In an email to the class of 2014, Barnard College Dean Avis Hinkson, BC ’84, announced that Commencement will be held on May 18 at 2:30 p.m.
“Since its opening in 1932, Radio City has been both a national landmark and a New York City treasure. I am thrilled that we will be returning to this fantastic venue which will comfortably accommodate our seniors, seven guests per graduate, faculty, staff, and distinguished guests,” Hinkson said.
In keeping with last year’s commencement day schedule, Barnard will provide buses to transport the graduates and faculty to Radio City Music Hall around 1 p.m., following the Baccalaureate service at St. Paul’s Chapel at Columbia and the academic departmental receptions on Barnard’s campus.
Hinkson said that students will receive further details about Commencement in the spring.
