After a year of buildup, Barnard officially closed its indoor pool over the summer, setting the stage for major campus renovations over the next few years.
The time to discuss the prospect of a Barnard-Columbia merger is now.
Professors have resigned themselves that relocating to the former home of the pool is a necessary, if tedious, move.
Barnard President Debora Spar broke the news at the Student Government Association meeting Monday evening and said that because of the plan's $150 million price tag, she is not even sure if it is feasible.
