After announcing a $300 million fundraising initiative last semester, Teachers College has allocated some $10,000 of the funds for a one-year scholarship for master’s and doctoral students, in an attempt to alleviate problems with funding and financial aid.
Alumnae, students, and faculty of Barnard College raised $2.2 million for Barnard financial aid on Thursday night at the college’s annual spring gala.
Jacob Andreas, SEAS '12, is just the second Columbia student to take home the prestigious scholarship—and the first since 1963.
