According to a Barnard Public Safety report released on Tuesday, the number of forcible sex offenses reported at Barnard dropped from one in 2011 to zero in 2012.

A fire broke out in 616 West 116th Street, a Barnard residence hall, on Thursday afternoon due to an ignited lamp.
Last week, Barnard Residential Life and Housing announced that uniformed Public Safety officers will start patrolling residence halls.
“I was on my way to an experiment in Milbank, and then I heard a guy yelling,” Cassandra Stroud, BC ’12, said. “I went over and there was a guy lying on the floor.”
It was Saturday, Oct. 18, and Stroud was about to save a life.
