City bikers gathered in front of St. Luke’s Hospital on Wednesday evening in a rally to support a motorcyclist who was injured in a high-speed chase on the Henry Hudson Parkway earlier this week.
Among the 40,000 people rallying for action on the Keystone XL Pipeline this weekend in Washington D.C. were a group of Columbia and Barnard students who joined the call.
More often than not, our personal biases become obstacles on our way to comprehending a situation thoroughly. What is worse is our refusal to acknowledge such biases, the first step in working towards an objective understanding.
Yesterday's rally on Low Plaza marked the first of a week-long string of events organized by students to raise awareness of the recent conflict in Gaza.
