Bikers Hit a New Trail at W. 106th Street
| Sep 24As cars and buses stopped at red lights during rush hour on Tuesday, bikers sped down W. 106th Street on the new bike path. The result of a project sponsored by the Department of Transportation and the Duke Ellington Boulevard Neighborhood Association, the path runs the length of 106th Street, linking Riverside Park with Central Park. It opened on Sept. 16 with a ribbon-cutting at Innovation Bike Shop, three months after Community Board 7 approved the plan.
