EcoReps

As we all know, unsustainable living is having such a detrimental effect on wildlife that is hovering on the edge of irreparable destruction. What I did not know, however, was the concept of "hotspots."

The kickoff of RecycleMania, a nationwide recycling competition found on 88 college campuses across the country, has highlighted Barnard’s recent attempts to “Go Green” and to follow Columbia’s lead with its recent addition of EcoReps to its college.

Columbia has every reason to be proud of its environmental awareness, but it must instill that awareness in students and faculty if the University is truly to go green.
