Men’s Golf Looks to Close Fall Schedule With Home Victory
The Columbia men’s golf team will conclude the fall portion of its season this weekend as it hosts the Columbia Invitational. The tournament will be played at the Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway, N.J, a par 71 course.
Men’s Golf Earns Second At ECAC’s
| Oct 13The Columbia men’s golf team just missed out on a victory this weekend, despite playing well at the Division I Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship in Riverhead, N.Y. In the tournament that took place over Friday and Saturday, the Lions earned a second-place finish out of the 15 participating teams.
Men’s Golf Season Opens With Defeat
The Columbia men’s golf team got its fall season off to a slow start, finishing in 16th place out of 16 teams at the Wolverine Intercollegiate, held in Ann Arbor, Mich. The University of Michigan won the invitational, with an overall weekend score of 841, beating second-place University of California, Davis by two strokes. Columbia shot 298-306-300 over the course of the weekend, and finished five strokes behind the 15th-place team. The Lions’ overall score was a 904. The individual title was won by Ramie Sprinkling of UC Davis, who shot a 69-68-69, for a combined weekend total of 206.
Ivy Champion Golf Team Qualifies for NCAA East Regional Chattanooga Site
