This weekend, the men’s tennis team opened its season by hosting the Columbia Classic at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center. After three days of play, Harvard took the “A” singles title, while Cornell won the “A” doubles championship.

As a preparation for the approaching regular season, members of the Columbia tennis team will compete with players from seven other teams located across the Northeast to win the Columbia Classic this weekend at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center.

The Columbia Campaign for Athletics took another positive step yesterday when Philip Milstein, CC ’71, announced that the men’s tennis coaching position will be endowed.

Justin Chow and Bogdan Borta looked like world-beaters last week when they won the doubles title at the Northeast Regional tournament.

This is a pivotal weekend for men’s tennis. The Lions are playing their first matches today at the Eastern College Athletic Conference tournament in Flushing, an event in which the top two finishers move on to Regional Championships.
