But those outings alone were sufficient to grab the attention of the Ivy League and the larger NCAA. His 8:09.01 3k debut currently tops the league, as does his 4:02.60 mile from the Virginia Duals on Feb. 13.

Friday at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships, the men took home the team title—and accompanying first annual Jeffrey H. Orleans Trophy—besting the rest of the Ancient Eight and defeating Princeton by the slimmest of margins, 60-61. The women exceeded pre-race expectations with an impressive run of their own, earning a spot on the podium at third.
