For this year's class registration, according to the Academic Affairs representative at tonight's ESC meeting, SEAS students won't be allowed to register for non-SEAS classes until fall 2011. This policy, which the Engineering School decided on, will be effective immediately. For example, a SEAS student interested in taking a history class will be unable to register until the fall.

Update: According to an email sent to all SEAS students, engineers won't be allowed to register for Contemporary Civilization or Lit Hum until a special session right before the fall term. They will still be able to register for classes like Art Hum and Music Hum, as well as typical arts and sciences courses, during the spring. Sorry for any confusion/momentary panic, SEAS students! Check later for updates.
