According to a notice on the Housing website, University Apartment Housing will not be a part of this year's lottery after all, due to lower than anticipated demand for housing. These rooms, which were arguably some of the best housing in all of Columbia, ranged from 400 to 800 square feet, and naturally will disappoint those few lucky two-person groups that were in a position to pick one of the seven UAH rooms. In terms of how this will affect you, if you're in a non-two-person-group, don't worry. Otherwise, expect the desirable Watt 2-bedrooms and EC flats to cut off a little sooner (I'd estimate the last one will cut off around 30/1700-30/1900) and expect a (small) ripple effect for all two-person rooms. As always, questions, comments, and thoughts are all welcome.
