University President Jennifer Mnookin and five distinguished faculty members from across disciplines confronted the crisis of public trust in higher education at the first Columbia Colloquium in Low Library on Wednesday.

Tristan Buckmaster, professor of mathematics at New York University’s Courant Institute, and several mathematics, physics, and computer science professors discussed the impacts of AI on their fields at an Oct. 2 Columbia panel with over 100 students and faculty members in attendance.
