Spectrum will be producing content and products on The Shaft from now until housing selection in early April. We think we’ve got a lot of the issues covered, but if at any time you have questions about The Shaft or housing selection at Barnumbia, let us know and we’ll be able to cover it.

Since housing selection is just a couple weeks away, now would be a great time to begin thinking about where you want to live next year. (But let’s be real—for most of you, this crossed your minds two weeks after you moved into your new dorms).

Choosing whether or not you want to live in a suite, like EC or Woodbridge, or a regular hall-styled dorm, like Schapiro or McBain, can be a great first step in choosing your ideal dorm. Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages to living in either a suite-styled or hall-styled dorm, so take this quiz to help you choose between suite and hall living.

Need any more tips on figuring out where you want to live next year? Where do you want to live next year, and why? Tell us on Facebook, Twitter, or Snapchat @CUSpectrum.

Sein An is a Spectrum trainee and a Columbia-Juilliard Exchange first-year. She wants to live in a suite next year so that she can shower barefoot in a semi-private bathroom. Reach her at sein.an@columbiaspectator.com.
