Fares, Funding, and “Fix the MTA”: A pivotal moment for New York City public transit and its riders

Fares could exceed $3 in the next two years, depending on the pricing model adopted by the MTA. New subway service priorities, including cutting costs and increasing weekend ridership, may be targeted by slashing service along the 1, 6, 7, E, F, L, and Q lines in favor of the G, J, and M lines.
