Major West Harlem landlord announces negotiations to transfer ownership of neglected properties to nonprofit

Sugar Hill Capital Partners has begun conversations with an undisclosed nonprofit to transfer ownership of its deteriorating properties to a nonprofit. The switch follows what New York City residents have characterized as a history of poor housing conditions and slow or absent repairs in their uptown Manhattan properties, mostly in East and West Harlem.
