In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, University President Lee Bollinger announced on March 2 that the University will welcome Ukrainian students and scholars displaced by the war. This is an expansion of an initiative originally put in place for students affected by the crisis in Afghanistan.

For the first time in its 75-year history, Art Humanities, an integral part of Columbia College’s Core Curriculum, has had its syllabus markedly revised. The revisions include nine new artists—all women or people of color.
