Mount Sinai Morningside, CUIMC nurses strike into third week as negotiations over staffing, workplace violence continue

The nurses at the nearby hospitals say that while the union recently won health benefit agreements, several of their key demands remain unaddressed.

The New York State Nurses Association, a union representing over 20,000 nurses in the city, has been in intermittent negotiations with hospital management throughout the past few weeks since the historic city-wide strike began on Jan. 12.
