Senator Bernie Sanders will visit Riverside Cathedral this month to promote his new book on political revolution.

Columbia students will have the opportunity to “feel the Bern” later this month when Bernie Sanders stops by Morningside Heights during the New Student Orientation Program.

The independent senator will be in the area for a ticketed event hosted by Harper’s Magazine and Book Culture at Riverside Church on Aug. 28.

Sanders will be promoting his young adult book, “Bernie Sanders Guide to Political Revolution.” Ticketholders will also receive a copy of the book and a one-year subscription to Harper‘s Magazine.

While he never visited the University as a presidential candidate, Sanders penned a letter to Columbia research and teaching assistants hailing their vote to unionize last December.

Sanders also voiced his support for Columbia Divest for Climate Justice’s protest calling on the University to divest from fossil fuels in a tweet sent in April 2016.

Tickets for the event are now sold out.
