As peers switch to restrictive early action, Columbia has retained early decision admissions. Does the process favor wealthy applicants?

Columbia’s admissions website prides itself on “need-blind admissions.” However, experts say the use of early decision admission systematically admits wealthier students that can pay more tuition and help meet the University’s financial goals.
