After a demands letter garnered over 1,200 signatures, Columbia changed its RA compensation model. Some say it’s not enough.

Under the new contract, the University will allow RAs to choose between the previous compensation model, waived housing fees and a $500 stipend each semester, or a new option: a $6,500 stipend each semester with no effect on housing costs.
