Columbia and Barnard political science students now only allowed to take introductory classes at home school

The rules follow changes to Barnard’s curriculum that requires its first-year students to take the majority of their classes at Barnard starting in fall 2025.

Justin Phillips, chair of the political science department at Columbia, wrote in a statement to Spectator that the department made the change “in response to the new inter-corporate agreement between Columbia and Barnard.”
